iPad Mini Set For Q3, 2012?

According to Kataku (via MacRumours) Apple may release a 'Mini' version of the iPad before the end of this year. NetEase claims that the Californian company could be planning a 6 Million unit launch of the devices with a cost of $249-$299.

This isn't the first time we have heard about the iPad mini. The rumour has been going around for sometime. In fact, at the beginning of this month, RazorianFly reported that DaringFireBall's John Gruber - ( a person known to have proven track in this field) has now outed his own claims that Apple could be making a smaller version of the iPad.

He wrote:
“Well, I don’t know. What I do know is that they have one in the lab…a 7.85 inch iPad that runs at 1024×768… it’s just like the 9.7″ iPad shrunk down a little bit. Apps wouldn’t need to be recompiled or redesigned to work optimally on it. It’s just the iPad smaller."
MacRumours reports that the iPad mini maybe 7.85-inches, the resolution of this device will be around 1024x768, and the pixel density will be 163 pixels-per-inch.

Would you buy the iPad Mini? Yes it is cost friendly but it may lack features that include the amazing display on the iPad 3. But smaller may make it more portable. Who knows how this is going to plan out.
