The Pebble Watch, A Success Waiting To Happen?

There is a website called 'kickstarter.com' which allows you to view ideas that people have placed onto the website, and fund them, and they will then return your investment by giving you a free sample or more, depending on how much you pledged to the idea. And this week, there has been one particular idea that has caught the attention of the thousands of people that visit the site every day to gaze upon the new ideas that the Kickstarter community have to offer. It is called the Pebble Watch, and when they first posted the idea on the website, they asked for $100,000, and within the space of a few days they have now got $3,700,000! That is 37 times the amount that they have asked for, and it has rapidly become the most funded project on the Kickstarters website.

What this watch does is allow you to simply use it as a normal watch, with the ability to connect it to your iPhone/Android device and then use applications to either, change the song whilst it's playing, view what song you are listening to, or view who a text is from. I think that the best idea is being able to quickly view who the text is from and the first couple of words without having to take the phone out of your pocket, it is ingenious!

This is an absolutely fantastic idea, the fact that you are able to connect a watch to your iPhone/Android device, and then have the opportunity to purchase different looks for you watch. What this means is that if you do not like the look of the clock that you are using on the watch, you can simply go onto a website on your iPhone/Android device, and then download other apps and looks for it.
