Android 5.0 Jelly Bean: What New Features Can We Expect?

The next release of the Android operating system is reports to be 4.1 or 5.0 Jellybean and according to speculations, it may be released sometime before the end of 2012. As users would love to see the system being faster and to have a longer lasting battery life, what would you want to see?

Would you like to see Chrome as the default browser on Jellybean? There has been some speculation that this maybe one of the features to come with the new OS as it is in the Beta Stage on phones and tablets right now and it could get rid of the Beta tag and be the replacement browser.

Would you like to see Intuitive gestures like that has been seen on HTC devices? For example, turning the handset on its face to place the phone in silent mode. Samsung also have the Smart Stay in the Samsung Galaxy S3 which recognised when users are not looking at the phone and dims the screen. This would be an amazing feature to have on the new OS.

Would you love to customise your phone a lot further than just changing the wallpaper and moving icons around? Users may want true theme support and a integrated theme engine. T-Mobile has such an engine so surely this could be supported in the new OS to provide users with an option of building custom themes.

If you have thought of a new feature that should be in the new OS, then comment below because we would love to hear your ideas!
