Google Maps for IOS Reaches 10M downloads Within two days

We are Back on the Road

Following the miss-hap with Apple maps and the controversial software, leading many people stranded for up to two days, Google maps has now been available back on the IOS systems for 3-4 days and it seems to have had a very warm welcome from the IOS users, after statistics show that after just two days of the software being published, it was downloaded 10 Million times!

With the previous built-in maps that Apple already provide, the Google Maps software provides a much more advanced mapping software to compete with the original Apple software which is part of the IOS 6. The new software brings all of the features that you will see on the internet version of Google Maps, in that it now includes the very popular street view, so your able to follow yourself down the road to make sure that you can get to your destination as quickly and easy as possible.

"We're excited for the positive reception of Google Maps for iPhone around the world," Huber said. "Congratulations to the Maps Team on the recognition for the passion and hard work they poured into it, for this release and over the last 7+ years."

Surprise!

When the software came out, there was a huge surprise due to the fact that the software was only reported to be publish hours before it was put onto the App Store. After that Google Maps quickly jumped to the top of the free apps chart on IOS, enabling Google to expand and also to constantly provide their reliable service to as many people as possible.

Below shows the latest video on the Google maps introduction.

Looks like Google have done it once again!

  1. I appreciate the flexibility shown by Apple to have bow down to google for them being more capable in maps.. But, I think Apple would return with an improved version soon..

  2. I definately agree with that too, because now Google have re-introduced their new version of maps, Apple will need to update the software to stay in the competition, perhaps on there next IOS update..
