Google today has just announced that they have acquired Quickoffice. Quickoffice was originally founded in 2002 and known for its productivity suite for iPhone and iPad.
Googles move was a smart one. Google Docs is quite good on the desktop, but many people still are not impressed with how Google Docs has been handled on the iPad. The desktop version of Google Docs made its way to the iPad in 2010, and many people say that the performance was disappointing.
It will be an interesting ride to see what Google does with the App. It would be awesome if the app will become an official Google Docs app, and dropping the app cost.
