The Apple Store is down, suggesting that Apple could be gearing up to the launch of its new Mac operating system, OS X Mountain Lion.
The Gold Master edition of OS X 10.8 is already available to developers for download, meaning that the public launch of the operating system is very soon. There have been reports pointing to a 25 July launch. But, this morning's "We'll be back" notice has arrived on Apple Stores worldwide, and could mean that Mountain Lion will be made available to download today, or perhaps the company is preparing for the new OS X's arrival.
