The New Stuff

What's An Earpod?

On the 12th September, Apple announced the brand new iPhone 5, which has received mixed reviews. And with the new iPhone comes Apple's upgrade for the traditional iPhone earphones. I have to say at first glance they look very aesthetically pleasing, and from the off you can clearly see they are keeping up to date with earphones of today. But as usual Apple have attempted to stay as unique as possible by naming them 'Earpods', which I like. They have tried to set themselves apart from other competitors, as they have always tried to do. The Earpods come with a mic and play, pause, and volume button much the same as the previous earphones.

The Earpods will retail at £25 ($30) which is the same price as the previous generation of headphones. I have managed to obtain a pair of these Earpods, and I have to say I am majorly impressed! They are miles better than their predecessors, aesthetically pleasing, more than adequate sound quality, and great feeling when they're in your ears. Although when they are lodged into your ears the bass becomes overwhelming and begins to hurt your ears, But don't get me wrong, if you purchase an iPhone/iPod touch/iPod Nano you will be more than happy to receive a pair of these free with your device.

Overall I am extremely pleased with these Earpods, and they are definitely a step in the right direction for Apple. But if you are not thinking of purchasing any of these devices and you are prepared to pay £10-£15 more, then you are able to purchase some very good earphones.
