On July 12, the social aggregation site Digg announced that it had been purchased for $500,000 by Betaworks. Digg has an another announcement, with a new site called 'rethinkdigg.com,' where it says it plans to rebuild Digg from "scratch," and would like to do it in just six weeks.

On August 1st it will roll out its first version, and Digg is not taking in feedback from users from an online survey that anyone can fill out.
