Facebook users are uploading a whopping 300 million new photos each and every day. So bing added a new way to search and browse your friends' photos without all the clutter of status updates and friend requests.

This new feature is part of Bing's ongoing evolution to make search more visual. Friend's photos already show up in search sidebars when relevant, but now interested users can go straight to bing.com/friendsphotos to browse and search all their Facebook friends' images.

Search is a very useful feature which allows users to view each friend's photos in a stream, and the default stream of all users friends' pictures, which is a great way to get visually updated in a hurry on where your friends are and what they're doing.

Bing of course will respect your Facebook privacy settings and will only show images that your friends have made viewable. Your photos, Microsoft stresses, will never be shared with the public.

As you all know, the Alpha version of Tweetbot has been out for Mac for a couple of weeks now. It was just hit with a major update that includes a few useful features. You can now view multiple columns (just like Tweetdeck). To do this, all you have to do is click on the gear icon, and click "Open in new window," and now you'll have a separate column that'll automatically snap to the original feed when dragged to its right side. This feature can also be  used to keep an eye on Mentions, search and so on without taking your eye off of the main Twitter feed.

Another feature that you will probably see sraight away when you update is a menu bar icon from which you can create a new tweet or go straight to your mentions, direct messages, or feed. Other features include the new streamlined interface which takes up less vertical space, support for custom URL shortening and media uploading services, and improved Mountain Lion notifications that will work with multiple accounts. Tweetbot for Mac is still free of charge, but it will become a paid app when it reaches a stable version 1.0.

"We wanted to create a place where we could celebrate great stories," Facebook's Tucker Bounds told ABCNews. Other features includes a Good-reads-powered Bookshelf featuring relevant books, and Playlist that users Spotify to eature new music by "inspiring artists" - and there is even a monthly podcast. On Monday, Facebook mysteriously begun blocking links from a popular image sharing site Imgur and annoyed users went straight to Reddit. Fortunately, software engineer Matt Jones was quick to respond, explaining how he was to blame for the error and what had been done to fix the social network's link system that was incorrectly blocking legitimate sites. 

Reported by TechCrunch, the original Reddit post quickly generated a number of comments, upvotes and a little bit of negative attention. Thankfully, Jones fixed the problem before it became a hellish nightmare. He also provided the following Imgur-hosted photo along with his apology.
