OS X Mountain Lion Downloaded 3 Million Times in Four Days


Today, Apple has announced that Mountain Lion (10.8) has been downloaded three million times in four days, "making it the most successful OS X release in Apple's history".

"Just a year after the incredibly successful introduction of Lion, customers have downloaded Mountain Lion over three million times in just four days, making it our most successful release ever," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing.

Mountain Lion was released to the Mac App Store on the 25th of July 2012 for £13.99 ($19.99). Apple announced one million downloads of OS X Lion (10.7) in the first day of its launch.
