Apple's chinese manufacturing partner Foxconn has reportedly begun accepting orders to build an Apple Smart TV set according to Chinese news website 'Sina'. Sina claims the long rumoured iTV is currently in the "trial production stage," but no other details were given.

Earlier this month, reports say that Foxconn's CEO denied that his company would soon begin manufacturing a television for Apple. Apple was looking to enter the TV market with a HDTV that will reportedly look a lot like the company's current LED Cinema Display.

The Device is said to feature an aluminium casing, iOS, Siri voice controls and an iSight camera for FaceTime video chats.

Reports suggest that it will launch in 2014, but earlier reports claim this year.

So today, "China Daily" reported that Apple's manufacturing partner Foxconn continues to expand its huge operations in support of Apple's strong growth in product sales, investing a massive $210 million to build a new production line for unspecified components.

The new production line is said to be set to come on line in October of this year and will be located in the Chinese city of Haui'an.

"The plant, covering an area of 40,000 square meters, plans to hire 35,800 employees.

The annual output value of the plant is expected to reach 6 to 7 billion yuan ($949 million to $1.1 billion), and the import and export value will be $55.8 million, the office said."

Foxconn has been recently working with Apple to monitor issues and improve workers rights and standards. In addition to new production facilities for the iPhone and iPad in Brazil, the company has also recently got a strategy of decentralising its Chinese production facilities and to build some of its new plants in other regions, so that the workers are closer to their homes.
