As some of you may know, Tim Cook shared that television was an area of "intense interest" for apple, stoking the rumor mill once more that the company will come out with a TV at some point. Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty shared results from a proprietary survey that had 1,568 U.S. heads of household in the survey from September. Fortune's Philip Elmer-DeWitt shares some of the results of the survey. 

"11% of respondents said they would be "extremely interested" in buying an Apple-branded TV set, which translates into 13 million units in the U.S. alone. 36% said they would be "somewhat interested," which could translate into another 43 million units.
The 47% who were either "extremely" or "somewhat" interested is more than twice the 23% who said they were interested in buying an iPhone and the 21% who were interested in an iPad before either of those products were released.Respondents who owned at least one Apple device were nearly four times more interested in buying an iTV that those who did not.
46% of respondents were willing to pay over $1,000 for an iTV and 10% were willing to pay over $2,000. On average, respondents were willing to pony up $1,060, a 20% premium over the the average $884 they paid for their current TV set."

Huberty also calls out three strategies for Apple to fix television. THe company could become a "full-blown virtual cable service provider"; partner with existing pay-TV carriers and replace their set-top box with its own; or Apple could even "bundle the TV set with its existing Apple TV" box.

Stanley's Katy Huberty: Apple Could Easily Sell 13 Million Televisions

iOS 6 Beta and Safari 6 Download Links Surface

iOS 6

As we have mentioned in our blog, Apple has been putting up Banners featuring the un-announced version of iOS. We will expect that Apple will go over a few new features in detail at the conference. We think that one of the biggest features will be Apples own mapping solution which has been reported by multiple sites including us. OS X Mountain Lion

OS X Mountain lion is another product that we all know that Apple will be discussing at the conference. Back in February, Apple announced the new version of OS X. iCloud

Apple CEO Tim Cook has said that iCloud is a strategy for the next decade. We have seen some of the new features that Apple is planning to introduce to iCloud in iOS 6 because of a mistake from Apple:

Rumours have be stirring around that Apple may introduce a new line of Macs at the WWDC. We have also heard that Retina-class displays on Apple's new Macs maybe coming. Apple has already built in Retina-display support in OS X  and we also expect Apple to release better hardware for their new line of Macs. Here are some more rumours that we have noted:

Apple has been rumoured to bring a television set to the market late this year or next year. Apple may even show the new operating system for the TV at next weeks WWDC. There have been more rumours about the Apple TV and that Apple will be introducing an SDK to open up the current Apple TV set-top box to third-party developers. All of these claims may not happen next week because most of these TV claims have come from a single uncorroborated source. 

iPhone 5

So we have been hearing a lot about the next-generation iPhone. The iPhone is rumoured to be taller with a 4-inch display but not making the phone any wider. We have also featured many incredible mockups of the new next-generation iPhone, but with the highest-profile leak so far being a hands-on-video that shows the back cover of the device, as well as a smaller dock connector and the headphone jack being at the bottom of the device. However, it is unlikely that Apple will introduce the next-generation iPhone at next weeks WWDC. Most observers believe that Apple will stick to the September/October timeframe which was seen last year with the iPhone 4S.

With WWDC 2012 coming up tomorrow, we thought that we should have a rumour round up of all the rumours that we have featured.

Apple Set to open up Apple TV to third-party developers at WWDC

Apple's chinese manufacturing partner Foxconn has reportedly begun accepting orders to build an Apple Smart TV set according to Chinese news website 'Sina'. Sina claims the long rumoured iTV is currently in the "trial production stage," but no other details were given.

Earlier this month, reports say that Foxconn's CEO denied that his company would soon begin manufacturing a television for Apple. Apple was looking to enter the TV market with a HDTV that will reportedly look a lot like the company's current LED Cinema Display.

The Device is said to feature an aluminium casing, iOS, Siri voice controls and an iSight camera for FaceTime video chats.

Reports suggest that it will launch in 2014, but earlier reports claim this year.
