Today, the world famous password management app '1Password' has been updated to support Retina displays on the Mac. The app also works a lot better with Google Chrome. AgileBits reported that it needed to update 130 images for the new version. The update is free for current users, though the app itself is a large $49.95 for new users. However, there are apps for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android, plugins for all the major browsers, a sync option through Dropbox - which means that you can get access to all your passwords no matter where you are or what platform you are on. It is a good product to have, especially if you have a lot of passwords that you need to save.

Well, today is a special day for Indie App fans because today is 2 dollar Tuesday. There has been a lot of targeted sales at the iOS App Store recently but now this sale is focusing on the Mac App Store. The ideas is that every Tuesday, a few Mac App Store titles will drop to just $2.00 and for this week, WriteRoom, Chronicle, and CodeBox have all gotten the discount.

Developer Mike Dattolo is behind the sale, and he says that the goal is to highlight some of the best Apps out there on the App Store with dropping the price on them, both helping them with publicity and showing off some of the Mac App Store's finest. The sale doesn't take a lot of money out of the developers' pocket (of course, they have to sell for less than usual, but already, the attention has proven fairly profitable).

Dattolo said that he hopes the sale will help get the word out about some of the best apps in the store, and also to show off to both customers and even Apple employees great apps that might have been passed over before.
