The new iTunes 11 has finally been released two months after Apple's Media Event. The new software brings a number of enhancements including a redesigned store, simplified player, and new iCloud features.

- Completely Redesigned. iTunes makes it more fun to explore and enjoy your music, movies, and TV shows. You'll love the beautiful edge-to-edge design, custom designs for each album, movie, or TV show in your library, and getting personal recommendations any time you click in the Store.

- A New Store. The iTunes Store has been completely redesigned and now features a clean look that makes it simpler than ever to see what's hot and discover new favorites.

- Play purchases from iCloud. Your music, movie, and TV show purchases in iCloud now appear inside your library. Just sign-in with your Apple ID to see them. Double-click to play them directly from iCloud or download a copy you can sync to a device or play while offline.

- Up Next. It's now simple to see which songs are playing next, all from a single place. Just click the Up Next icon in the center display and they'll instantly appear. You can even reorder, add, or skip songs whenever you like.

- New MiniPlayer. You can now do a whole lot more with a lot less space. In addition to showing what's playing, MiniPlayer now includes album art, adds Up Next, and makes it easy to search for something new to play - all from a smaller and more elegant design.

- Improved search. It's never been easier to find what you're looking for in iTunes. Just type in the search field and you'll instantly see results from across your entire library. Select any result and iTunes takes you right to it.

- Playback syncing. iCloud now remembers your place in a movie or TV show for you. Whenever you play the same movie or episode from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV, it will continue right where you left off.

The update is currently available through Software Update in the Mac App Store, and Apple should be updating its iTunes pages shortly.

Spotify announced earlier today that the company now has over 15 million active users and more than 4 million paying subscribers, according to The Next Web. The news was broke out by Spotify's Chief Content Office Ken Parks during the Global Business Summit on Creative Content in London. It also looks like there is more than one million subscriber improvement than what we saw back in January.

The announcement came after Spotify praised its US users on a successful first year, and after both iOS and Android versons of the music-streaming app have been updated with free internet radio.

As technology moves forward it is inevitable that companies will become redundant. Clintons have become one of the latest victims to this curse, because of websites like Moonpig and FunkyPigeon clintons have now become redundant because of the limitations of their shop. Moonpig allows you to create your own custom cards, therefore leaving clintons redundant. HMV's main battle is against piracy, the graphic below explains why piracy is such a big issue to the entertainment industry. HMV caters to the whole entertainment industry, meaning that they supply; DVD's, CD's, etc. So with this in mind 59.3% of all of the items that are pirated on the Internet, HMV sell. Obviously they do not sell every TV show, and every movies and song, but they do sell a vast majority of them. This is only one of the reasons why HMV will inevitably have to declare bankruptcy due to the fact that piracy, iTunes, and Spotify combined will put them out of business.

We are now at an age where the Internet is becoming the predominant place to shop for music, and films. Also with broadband speeds increasing as the English infrastructure is allowing for faster download speeds, soon albums will be able to be downloaded in less than 10 seconds. Convenience will be the killer of HMV, although they have a website, you can only download limited songs directly from their website, or you can order the album that you want. Many people would prefer to have a physical copy of a movie or a CD, because then it feels like you are holding your money. I personally like the idea of convenience and there is no point kidding ourselves, it is inevitable with the evolution of technology, many companies will disappear.

Each July since 2007, Apple has held its iTunes Festival in London where everyone comes together to enjoy their favourite band or bands. Offering a month's worth of free concerts from some of Apple's top performers. Apple is now beginning to unveil this year's plans. The most notable change for 2012 is that it has been moved to September.

For the fourth year running, the iTunes Festival will be held at The Roundhouse in London, with at least 60 acts performing over the 30 nights of the festival.

Five acts have been announced so far: Usher (September 1), Emeli Sandé (September 5), Jack White (September 8), Norah Jones (September 10), and One Direction (September 20).

Free tickets are available through a lottery system to people who live in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Apple will also be streaming live video of the concerts directly through iTunes on the desktop or through a dedicated mobile app. The app appears to currently be limited to customers in the UK, and Apple notes on its international site for the festival that they will announce streaming options in other countries in August.

Apple also releases a number of live EPs and albums from the shows through the iTunes Store.

The image above we think is Spotify running on the iPad. It was uploaded to the sharing service 'Instagram' by a Sweden-based technology consultant, according to TheVerge. It was removed from the service without a reason.

This is all becoming reality because Spotify is reportedly planning to host a press event in New York this coming Wednesday, which Spotify's CEO will be presenting.

You can get the Spotify App for iPhone via the App Store. You will need to be a premium member to login and use it.

Spotify is a music streaming service that offers a selected amount of song that ranges from major and independent record labels that include Sony, EMI, Warner Music Group and Universal.

What I think of Spotify Premium...

Well, I have had Spotify Premium for a few months now and I am very happy to say that it is GREAT! It is worth the money. Spotify is my default music player, and I barely use YouTube to listen to music videos; also I never really use iTunes anymore because Spotify is so simple and yet easy to use! You can get all of your favourite songs by just typing the song name in or you can even see the top Songs, Albums and Artists by just clicking 'Top Lists' from around the world or just a specific Country.

It is definatly worth upgrading from the Free version to the Premium version.

Still deciding? Well look at the picture below to see what features you get with the Premium, Unlimited and Free versions.

Pioneer Earphones are awesome. Why? Well I could go on for ages but I will try to keep it short.
Ok, first off, is the sound quality. You think that the Dr Dre Solo's are good? Well think again, for the price you pay they are rubbish.

Go and have a look at Amazon, or Ebay, for some Pioneer Earphones. Honestly, you will not be disappointed.

The bass - The bass on these earphones are truly immense! They will blow your head off!
The overall quality - The overall quality on these are great, the treble, etc... is amazing! Its clear as crystal.

Go and have a look for Pioneer Earphones and buy some! Trust me, you will not be disappointed. For roughly £25-£60 it is an amazing deal! They should really be £100 for these earphones!

Loiter Squad is a brand new series that is going to begin on the 25th of March on Adult Swim. Loiter squad comes from Odd Future, the group of rappers from Ladera California. Only 4 of the members of Odd Future are starring in the program, Tyler the creator, Jasper Dolphin, Taco Bennet, and Lionel Boyce. The program is a sketch comedy television series, and it will feature other members of Odd Future. The episodes themselves will only be 15 minutes in duration and will be very similar to Jackass, but with less death-defying stunts, and more comedy instead of brutality. This is a link to the trailer for 'Loiter Squad', I personally think that this show is going to be awesome! Although I am a fan of the group, and I enjoy their humour, others might not. I can also see this show making the group more popular for their music, the reason for this is because throughout the show there will be snippets of their music, which I think is incredible! They just sound so much different from all of the other rappers out there, mainly because they couldn't care what anybody thinks about them. For the people in the UK who want to watch this show, i'm sure that there will be a website out there which will allow you to watch it online, and if I find such a website, I will post it on this blog for all of you reading.
