In his review of iTunes 11, AllThingsD's Walt Mossberg notes that Apple is preparing a minor update to address a few issues with the next generation media player from Apple. The change included in the update will be the return of a feature that allows users to find duplicate songs in their libraries.

- New MiniPlayer. You can now do a whole lot more with a lot less space. In addition to showing what's playing, MiniPlayer now includes album art, adds Up Next, and makes it easy to search for something new to play - all from a smaller and more elegant design.
- Improved search. It's never been easier to find what you're looking for in iTunes. Just type in the search field and you'll instantly see results from across your entire library. Select any result and iTunes takes you right to it.
- Playback syncing. iCloud now remembers your place in a movie or TV show for you. Whenever you play the same movie or episode from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV, it will continue right where you left off.
The update is currently available through Software Update in the Mac App Store, and Apple should be updating its iTunes pages shortly.

Updated iTunes, iPod Touch, and iPod Nano Coming Alongside iPhone 5 Today
Following from the prematurely confirmed the "iPhone 5" name in search results on Apple's website, users have been trying to find evidence of other additional announcements today. The World Wide Developer Conference, one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year for Apple fanatics and tech geeks alike. Only this year there will be one colossal difference, no Steve Jobs... Even though the man himself will not be there to present the new and innovative ideas that Apple will provide to us, Tim Cook will suffice. There are several major announcements that are likely in this years WWDC. But before I get onto the details I would just like to inform you that Rumournal will be covering the WWDC via our website, you will be able to see all of the information blogged onto the website live, to view this just go to our website during June 11-15, and it will be across the tab bar, and all you have to do is click on the tab and away you go.
The WWDC tickets sold out on the 25th April, and the developers that paid to go to this conference had to pay $1500 per head! That is an absolutely insane amount of money, this means that altogether if you purchased every seat at the WWDC it would cost $7,500,000! Although if I had the money, I would absolutely love to go to one of the conferences just to say that I have been to one of them in my life. Already people are speculating the new products and information that Apple will provide this year. One of the most talked about possibilities this year, are the new shape Macs. Apple are intending to release a 2012 MacBook Pro in May, and then a newer lighter version in June. This is just a speculation and thinking about it logically, it would not make sense if they released one in May and then a newer version in June. Supposedly the new MacBook Pro will be thinner, but not inspired to look like a Macbook Air. I think that the Macbook Air will become the new standard Macbook (due to fact that they have discontinuted the standard white MacBook's). Below is a mock up of the new MBP, and as you can see, it is only a photoshopped mock up, but it does look aesthetically pleasing, and I think many people would be extremely happy with this design. Although as you can see from the mock up, there is no CD drive. Apple may very well be discontinuing CD drives altogether on their products and I do not think that there will be a replacement for the CD drive, although Apple will most likely just use either the USB slots, or the SD card slot. This MBP will definitely lighter, and everybody has their own opinion on what new features the new Macbook Pro will provide.
iOS 6 will also be one of the main features at WWDC 2012 along with the new iPhone. It would be extremely illogical for Apple not to feature any information on the new iPhone, because currently the 4s cannot compete with all of the new phones that are being released, such as the Samsung Galaxy S3. If Apple provide no information on the new iPhone then their shares will plummet. The reason for this is because the share holders basically run the company, and the hardware that is within the 4s is about 2 years old, and it cannot compete with the phones being released this year. The only reason that the shares in Apple have not decreased is due to the fact that they are anticipating the new iPhone at this conference. With the new phone inevitably being released at the WWDC, iOS will obviously follow to keep the operating system on the iPhone fresh. Each person has their own opinion of what they think will be in the new iOS. According to some pictures, there are going to be application that use 3-D images, although this could be photoshopped, if this was an application that was on iOS 6 it could possibly use the same kind of technology that the 3DS uses.
